Actually, I can peform the same kind of click removal very quickly in Audition without a scrub (although it has one). I'm also not sure these things could really easily be automated as I doubt there would be anyway to automatically discern "wrong from right" in any given audio bit.in other words, I don't think it could be done without accidentally destroying something that was SUPPOSED to be there like the the very beginnings or endings of words. On that note, I'd love to hear some comments and ideas from the team on this one as well! However, after using REAPER for a while and and really getting into the flow and ingenuity of the whole thing, I'd be very curious to see how Cockos might handle the subject.I wonder if they might be able to make the workflow in this regard even more straight-forward and user-friendly. On a side note, I USED to believe the best answer was for Cockos to simply copy PT in this regard as it does the job very well. Airon is one and I know there are at least a few others. That said, I'd be very curious to hear the comments and ideas of some of the real editing "power-users" out there. Something like this generally takes all of about 5 seconds in a host like PT. I'm not sure there really is an easier way to zap things that should not be there than simply "hear, zoom, scrub, and draw".

What features would make drawing the waveform easier? A loop function similar to the scrub loop in Reaper comes to mind (just set at a longer time) Any ideas?

My question is that what are the categories of things that are done, and is there ever an easy way to correct them even quicker than just drawing the waveform? Could many of the things done with wave drawing, that are repetitive and predictable, be automated in some way? Would it in the end waist time? If some auto function doesn't work, the user has to draw the wave manually anyway.
